Ridekick is a really innovative power trailer system that provides an electric
assist from the rear. Using a quick-release attachment on the rear wheel axle of virtually any bike, and a simple throttle wired onto the handlebars, the Ridekick power trailer gives you a power boost and carries your gear!
The RideKick is capable of producing non-pedaling bike speeds up to 19 mph. On a full charge, without pedaling, the rider can go about 12 miles. The unit is designed to be stable in turns, when stopped, and when carrying loads.
RideKick System
The RideKick system consists of:
- The cargo trailer, which contains a 500-watt electric brush moter and a 24-volt, 12-amp sealed lead-acid battery. The trailer weighs 40 pounds including battery pack. The cargo space can hold up to 100 pounds and is roomy enough for a laptop computer, a change of clothes, with room left to pick up groceries on the way home. The unit is weather resistant and lockable.
- A quick-release hitch to attach the cargo trailer to your bike. The trailer can be attached (or detached) in seconds.
- A handlebar-mounted throttle, which can be set to activate with either your thumb or finger, and a controller.
